The new version of Florence Ayisi’s Iris Films UK is now online and fully functional.

Florence Ayisi is a reputed documentary filmmaker, resident of the University of Wales, Newport. This website is being created to serve as a window into her work, offering trailers, news of upcoming work and picture galleries from her films. She wanted a lot of content to be shared across the internet, so a website had to be built to accommodate for that. There is a simple navigation system, solid grid structure and easy-to-use galleries built into the site to allow the content to flow easily.

Over the course of 2010 and 2011, I worked on a second project with Saira Lloyd. This time, she had curated an auction event for artwork to be sold in aid of the Pakistani Floods Appeal. A week before the auction was to take place, the terrible earthquake and tsunami hit Japan. Saira is now donating some of the proceeds of the auction to help the people of Japan recover from this tragic natural disaster.

I hope to continue to work with Saira on future Arts Auction events, or take the project up on my own to continue raising money for worthy charities.

The website combines Facebook and Twitter feeds for targeting the maximum social networking traffic possible.

The website is live here: artsauction.co.uk
